Shropshire Chess is looking to recruit a Rapidplay & Blitz Tournament Organiser. You will be responsible for organising either or both a Shropshire rapidplay and blitz tournament with the primary aim of finding the Shropshire rapidplay & Shropshire blitz champion. Your role would include:
– Securing a venue
– Build a tournament team including arbiters
– Advertise the tournament
– Manage entries
– Manage the tournament budget to ensure the event breaks event
– Ensure the event is H&S compliant
Substantial support would be provided in the first year by the standardplay congress organisers but with a view of shifting full responsibility to yourself over the longer term.
