Jan 2025 – ECF Level 1 Arbiter Course
The ECF have released details of their next online arbiter course. An arbiter qualification can allow you to earn a little bit extra at the weekends whilst still allowing you to be involved with chess. Alan Shaw
I found out this year that Alan Shaw sadly passed away a number of years ago. Alan inspired numerous current shropshire players in their youth to take up chess and was the inspiration behind the Nerdy Junior Chess Club. An obituary for Alan is now available here.
