Michael Adams Simul 2014
Mickey Adams 33.5 -
Shropshire and friends 2.5
Michael Adams came and conquered! The top-rated British player took on 36 players in a simul on Saturday 1 March 2014 in Telford. The outcome was 32 wins for Mickey with three draws and one loss. We are very grateful to everyone who took part and helped make it a successful and enjoyable event, and especially to Mickey for making it possible. Most of the competitors were from Shropshire but we were delighted to welcome guests from elsewhere and many of the players enjoyed a fun blitz in the morning and a lecture by Mickey annotating two of his recent games. Shropshire players took the honours in managing to take points off Mickey. The one winner was Steve Rooney and the three draws were William Bates, Francis Best and Peter Kitchen. We will post a full report, photos and the game scores shortly.
